We have that winning feeling once again as AEVI were awarded the Silver prize for ‘Best PSP or Acquiring Solution’ at the 10th annual Emerging Payment Association Awards on a fantastic evening at The Hilton, London. It becomes the second time this year, after our success in February’s MPE Awards, that our Open Ecosystem has been recognised for bringing greater choice and flexibility to merchant banks and acquirers.

Well, what a night we had! It was a glamorous black-tie event, that saw the who’s who of the payments world come together to celebrate the best and brightest in the industry. AEVI beat off three other finalists to take home the prestigious prize, awarded for our game changing Open Ecosystem.
Over 600 of the industry’s leading decision makers were present to see more than 200 companies compete across 20 awards. Industry giants Amazon and Apple were just two recipients on the night, as AEVI rubbed shoulders with some of the biggest movers and shakers in the market.
It is a real honour to be recognised by the EPA, and a testament to all the hard work the team puts in across the AEVI family. Winning such a prestigious award offers further proof that the industry is embracing our ideals of openness and collaboration.
Our Global Marketplace was also a finalist in the “Best Customer Facing Innovation” category where we unfortunately narrowly missed out to the excellent guys over at Curve.

How we won?

We put forward our Open Ecosystem for the award as it’s unique value proposition to our merchant banks and acquiring customers truly sets us apart from our competitors. Combining specific AEVI-enabled devices with a set of high-quality B2B apps, allows banks and acquirers to create uniquely tailored schemes for their merchants, further strengthening the merchant/bank relationship. This provides a new way for merchant banks and acquirers to compete and differentiate themselves, without ever needing to compromise on security.
We have achieved fantastic success to date with our Open Ecosystem with:

  • Over 30 large and mid-size customers
  • Certification in countries across Europe, Australia and the Americas
  • Over 160,000 end-points connected, with a portfolio of four supported vendors, each with multiple devices.
  • The number of transactions processed by the platform exceeding 1.2 billion in 2016, representing a 20% increase over the previous year.

Thank you to everyone at AEVI who made this possible, and here’s too many more prize-winning evenings in the future! For more information on our “award-winning” payment solutions and to see how you can become part of our ecosystem visit]]>
